Friendly reminder that student device insurance payments must be received by September 29, 2023. Any payment received after this date will be returned to the parent and they will be financially responsible for any damage to their student's device(s). Please contact the school with any questions.

Orientation dates have been set for 6th and 9th Graders as well as any incoming new student. Freshmen orientation will be on August 8 at 9am or 6pm. Any student who is new to our High School is also welcome to attend. Sixth grade orientation will be held on August 10 at 9am or 6pm. Any student who is new to our Middle School is also welcome to attend. Please contact our office with any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Here is the latest on the blacktop sealing project at CHS/CMS: The lot in front of the building may be used starting Thursday (7/27) and will open to ‘foot traffic’ on Wednesday (7/26). The area by the field house, greenhouse and high school parent drop off will be closed from Wednesday through Friday (7/26-7/28). Tentatively, the middle school teacher lot and parent drop off will be closed early next week and the student lot will be closed late next week. Again, we thank you for your patience and for following the directions the crew provides to help get us through this process!

This week we have a company coming to seal the parking lots and driveways at CHS/CMS. The front of the building and main lot will be closed until Thursday. Additionally, other areas will be unusable at various times. Please look for orange cones and avoid those areas so that sealing will be effective. We appreciate your patience!

WASHINGTON, D.C. TRIP UPDATE: The second payment for the trip is due this Friday, July 14th. All payments need to be made directly to Traveling Classrooms via Venmo or a personal check. Be sure to mark your payment with your student's name and Carrollton Middle School. The second payment that is due to Traveling Classrooms is $200. Checks can be mailed to Traveling Classrooms PO Box 9568 Canton, OH 44711 To make a payment via Venmo, go to the Traveling Classrooms website and follow the electronic payment prompts that are outlined there. Notice of Special Meeting The Carrollton Exempted Village Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 3:00 p.m., April 26, 2023, in the Carrollton High School Extended Learning Space. The agenda includes: Approving two (2) GMP’s for the PreK-5 building project and approving a five (5) year elevator contract.

The English-Language Arts test for grades 6, 7, 8, and 10 is on Wednesday 4/12 and Thursday 4/13. Students not taking the test will be on a 2 hour delay. If you need to ride the bus to get to school, it will be at your normal time (not the 2 hour delay time). Non-testing students arriving by 9:10 should use the main entrance doors (not the side doors that are normally used for student drop-off).

Reminder: 6th grade camp is March 15-17 *Families will need to bring their student to CMS by 10:15 am (there is no bus service to CMS due to the waiver day) *Students will be bussed from CMS to the FFA Camp *Students MUST have a packed lunch on Wednesday, March 15. *Students will return to CMS at approximately 12:30 pm on March 17. Students may be signed out at that time.

All OHSAA tournament tickets are online only (even if the game is played at CHS). No passes of any kind will be accepted. To order tickets, please go to: www.oshaa.org/tickets

Schedule cards are due to 5th grade and 6th grade teachers by Jan 31. Schedule cards for 7th graders are due on Feb 2. The cards must have 6 elective choices and a parent/guardian signature. 6th grade will complete the scheduling process on Jan 31. 7th grade will complete the scheduling process on Feb 2. 5th grade will complete the scheduling process on Feb 3.

There will be an information meeting for incoming 6th grade parents and students on January 18, 2023. The meeting will be in the CHS/CMS Performing Arts Center (PAC) from 5:30pm-6:30pm.

Our Spelling Bee was a challenge for all participants yesterday! Our Runners-Up are Jemma Roby and Paul Gomez. Elementary School Champion is Aubrie Raines and Middle School Champion is Brayden Bowery. Great job and Congratulations to all!
