Students Grow at the POWER Center

The Carrollton POWER Center has begun with their farm to school program which encourages and helps students get interested in plants. Students are picking vegetables and are using them within the school cafeteria for lunches using cherry tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers.

Boys’ Soccer Kept the Fight Against New Philadelphia

On September 3, Carrollton’s Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team kept it close, with a 0­0 score against New Philadelphia’s boys until after the second half started. With about 20 minutes left in the game, Carrollton scored their first goal, only to be followed up with a goal from Philly. Carrollton continued to shut the other team out from their side, and the final score was tied 1­1. Junior Jon Goffard scored the goal with an assist from Sophomore Soufiane Al­Kaddouri.

Louisville Slides by Carrollton

On Monday, August 31 the Carrollton High School’s Ladies Golf Team was defeated by Louisville at their home course of Skyland Pines. The final score was Carrollton with a 199 and Louisville with a 186. Grace Bartlow had 46, followed by Elizabeth Domer with 48, Anna Truman with 51, and Emily Kean with 54. Carrollton’s Ladies Golf Team is now 6­1.
