FFA Fruit Sales Underway

The Carrollton FFA chapter has begun its annual fruit, nut and BBQ sauce sales fundraising event.  This year, local FFA members are selling citrus and nuts from Florida Farm Bureau, apples from Fruit Grower’s Marketing in Ohio, and BBQ sauce from DB Yummers in Ohio.  Choices include navel oranges, tangelos, red grapefruit, pears, pineapple, mixed fruit boxes, red delicious, gold delicious, granny smith, and fuji apples along with assorted nut selections and a sweet, spicy, and island varieties of BBQ sauce.

Fruit may be ordered until the first week of December by contacting any FFA member or the Agricultural Education Department at Carrollton High School – 330-627-8442.  The order form with selections is also available by clicking here.

Cross Country Races Towards Regionals

On Saturday, October 18, the Girls and Boys Cross Country teams competed at District Championships. The girls won for the second year in a row and qualified for Regionals. Defending her District Champion title, Maddie Dunlap placed first for the girls followed by Hailey Wells as runner-up. Janesa Bell, Emmy Days, and Kierra Gubesch earned first team All Districts and ran lifetime bests. Maddie Formet and Rachel Devine recorded season best times. District Runner Up Cole Lovett and All District Quinton Huggett will race at Regionals as individuals. On Saturday, October 25, the Warriors will compete at Pickerington North High School for the chance to run at the State Championship on November 1st. The boys will run at 11:45 A.M. and the girls at 3 P.M.

Harlem Wizards Come To CHS!

On Monday, October 27,  2014, the Harlem Wizards are coming to play the Carrollton staff in the CHS gym. The game starts at 7:00 p.m., and the doors open at 6:00 p.m.. You can buy tickets at the door, or buy them online at www.harlemwizards.com for a lower price. Buying online for students costs $8.00 and for the general public it costs $10.00. Tickets at the door for students will cost $10.00 and $12.00 for the general public.
