"World Autism Day" is celebrated annually on April 2nd. The color blue was adopted by the United Nations in 2007 to shine a bright light on Autism and to increase world knowledge regarding the importance of early diagnosis and early intervention. This year, you will be able to find seven continents, 101 countries, 1300 cities, 8400 landmarks and building, and the International Space Station lit in blue. Bell-Herron Middle School will be participating for the whole month of April. For more information please go to www.autismspeaks.org or contact Carrie Shannon or Gina Aston in the Autism Unit at the Bell-Herron.
