Reminder: Tomorrow, Wednesday, 12/17/25, Second Grade Grandparents' Day
Doors do not open until 1:00 - Please DO NOT arrive before that time. 1:00 PM is arriving "early" - we won't start until 1:15 PM.
We do not have a space available for early grandparents due to ongoing student lunches and safety protocols. The CES Parking lot is open to Grandparents. CES entrance only (after 1:00 🙂).
If a non-second-grade sibling is also being signed out, parents/guardians must send in a note or call before noon.
Thank you for your cooperation!

Next week is Grandparents'/Special Person Week:
Thank you to everyone who turned in RSVPs! We are anticipating 200-250 guests each day 😳🥰
Please help us keep this event safe and our dismissal calm.
If you want your child to be signed out by their guest:
-Sent in RSVP and put a name on it ✅ Nothing else needed
-If you want a sibling to be signed out, send a note (the sooner the better).
Common misconception:
-Grandma/grandpa/Gigi/Papa/etc is on final forms, so they can just sign my child out if they want. -Nope- We still need parent/guardian permission. That means we are calling you to get verbal confirmation. This adds some chaos at the end of these special events that we try hard to avoid.
Thank you for your continued support of our special events!

Fossil Fun in 4th Grade!
Our 4th-grade scientists in Mrs. Krell’s classes wrapped up their Organisms and Environments from Long Ago unit with a hands-on fossil-making activity! Students created their own unique fossils to show what they learned—and they had a blast doing it!

Our Elementary Library was awarded a grant from the Civics Education Fund of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio! This special grant helped us purchase new library books all about voting and civic duties—perfect for inspiring young readers to learn how every voice matters.
We’ve tied this into our One School – One Book program, and students have been busy voting this week on which book our entire school will read together! The winning title will be purchased for each family so everyone can enjoy reading along at home.
It’s been such a fun and meaningful way to bring literacy and citizenship together—thank you to the Foundation for helping make it happen!

Earlier today, we sent out a message to alert parents about a situation that was happening in North Canton. Even though there was no threat in Carrollton, we felt it was important to notify you to keep you informed. Unfortunately, the text message was 'cropped' and you had to click on the link to read the entire message. The messages on the website, on the app and on Facebook were not 'cropped' and were complete. We apologize that the text message service doesn't allow long texts to be delivered in their entirety - without clicking on the link - and that this caused some to be stressed when there was no need.
