Carrollton Elementary Library has decided to hold a Read-a-thon this year! Read-a-thons get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.
Our Read-a-thon starts Monday, March 4, 2024. About one week before our Read-a-thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.
We encourage you to activate your reader’s account today by clicking on https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/323738373536/1 and following the simple instructions.
We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read, and helps in the development of stronger reading skills. We hope EVERYONE participates.
Thanks so much,
Mrs. Moyer, CES Librarian
Mrs. Dodds CES Principal

Come out this Friday and join the fun!

Reminder: No School tomorrow!

Carrollton Preschool earns a Five-Star Rating during their recent evaluation. Step Up to Quality is a five-star quality rating and improvement system administered by the Ohio Department of Education. Step Up to Quality was created to help families identify early learning and development programs that go beyond the minimum standards of licensing. Five-star rated programs demonstrate higher levels of quality in instruction, environment and licensing standards. Way to go Preschool Staff!

Kindergarten celebrated their 100th day of school today. Students had the choice to either dress as 100 year olds or wear a shirt with 100 things on it. Check out Mrs. Shreve’s class celebrating their 100th day!

Carrollton FFA is collecting clean plastic caps for the Caring About our Planet program. Our hope is to get a recycled bench made in memory of Dr. John Walters. Caps can be from water bottles, condiment containers, milk jugs, etc. Please see the graphic below for further examples. Caps can be deposited in collection bins by the CHS gym and in the CHS office. Two hundred and fifty pounds of caps are needed, so start saving today and help us honor Doc!

We'd like to thank Wendy Gotschall for her 12 years of service to the students of Carrollton Schools as a Board of Education member. She started her tenure in January of 2012 and decided not to seek re-election in November. Mrs. Gotschall brought great insight to the district from her years at Aultman and the Carroll County Health Department. We thank you for your willingness to serve, so that future generations of Warriors have the opportunities that you had as a student here! We appreciate you and wish you all the best in the future!
