Our Process:
Submit a completed application for employment, along with a copy of your driver's license to Carrollton Administration Office
Complete the Background check process as instructed (*district will pay)
Attend a Pre-Service Class, and must pass the written test for completion (*district will pay)
Training with the On Bus Instructor for a minimum of 12 hours to gain proper training for the driving test
Pass a School Bus Driver Physical (*district will pay)
Maintain a satisfactory semi-annual BMV Driver Record
Must have a satisfactory Drug Alcohol result and FMCSA check form (*district will pay)
Must pass the driving test (*district will pay for 1 test)
You may now be hired as a substitute; with a CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements.
*DISCLAIMER: If at any time you do not complete the process, or stay with Carrollton School District for 90 days, you will be required to reimburse the district for items completed.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be a minimum age of 21 with a minimum of two years driving experience
Hold a valid drivers license with an unblemished driving record
Have a negative pre-employment drug test; results and FMCSA check form
Background checks, BCI and FBI, without any disqualifying offences
Physically capable of lifting and managing preschool and special needs children when necessary
Ability to cope with stressful situations
Must have a CDL with school bus and passenger endorsement* (District will assist in the training)
