Governor DeWine asked schools and districts to work with their communities and educational stakeholders to help students continue to advance academically and to make up for any learning that may have been lost or delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and related disruptions.
Because Carrollton has many students experiencing learning gaps, the district will offer conventional, in-person classes, as well as the more typical “credit recovery” program that has been established in Carrollton High School. The district has created a 5th quarter, which begins on Monday, June 7th and concludes Thursday, June 24th and a 6th quarter, which begins on Monday, June 28th and concludes on Thursday, July 15th. This unprecedented 3rd Semester will operate weekly each Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, except for the week of July 4th, which will be a Tuesday through Friday week of classes, due to Monday, July 5th being observed as the national holiday and the district will be closed.
