On Tuesday, October 14th, Carrollton sophomores had an option to take a trip to Buckeye Career Center. The students got to choose careers they were most interested in and do some hands-on learning with each career. Sophomores Logan Ackerman, Robert Little, and Connor McConnell all went on the trip.
“I want to go to Buckeye because I don’t want to be in student debt. I want to be a utility lineworker,” Little said. “My favorite part was dressing up as a firefighter.”
“I went on the trip because I am interested in becoming a utility lineworker,” McConnell said. “My favorite part was watching Logan Ackerman dance after defeating Garaway in a game of dress up.”
“I went on the Buckeye trip because I feel like I have a better chance at getting a job with Buckeye than college,” Ackerman said. He then goes on to express his school pride. “My favorite part was beating Garaway. CHS on top! Go Warriors!”
