On Saturday, Nov. 25, the Carroll County Ohio Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Christmas Parade. The parade took place in the town square beginning at 6:00 pm and included the school band, who was more than happy to provide entertainment for the community. Khalen Green, sophomore, and a Carrollton student band stated, ¨I liked that the band went through with Santa twice instead of once. ¨
Before the parade, fun events were also set out for children, so they could enjoy Christmas cheer even longer. An ice-skating rink, food trucks, and a visit from Santa greeted families on 2nd St. SW. Many enjoyed the events leading into the parade.
The parade was set in the evening, so the public could enjoy the bright Christmas lights and decorations set up around town, but mainly to enjoy the incredible floats. The parade had a huge turnout, junior Landen McClelland stated, ¨I enjoyed the parade being at night because most years it was during the day. There was a very warming environment. ¨
