Students in kindergarten, first, and second grades recently enjoyed mindfulness walks as part of Character Education, a special collaboration between Mrs. Pridemore and Mrs. McNutt!
During our walks, students were encouraged to slow down, be present, and experience the outdoors using all five senses. They had opportunities to:
🌳 Feel the unique texture of paper birch bark and different leaves.
🌲 Smell the fresh scent of pine branches.
🐸 Observe the frog pond and look for signs of life.
☀️ Feel the warmth of the sunshine and the gentle touch of the wind.
👂 Listen carefully to the many sounds of nature around them.
🌹 And, of course, stop and smell the roses!
These simple experiences remind us that mindfulness is about slowing down, paying attention, and appreciating the world around us. Sometimes the best lessons happen when we step outside, take a deep breath, and enjoy the little things!
A big thank-you to Mrs. McNutt for collaborating to bring this meaningful outdoor learning experience to our students! 💚

On Tuesday, our 4th graders stepped into the world of civic responsibility with a mock election! Students heard from two pretend fourth-grade candidates, each with their own ideas and viewpoints, before casting their votes. What a fun way to learn about democracy, elections, and making our voices heard!
A special THANK YOU to the Carroll County Board of Elections for providing our students with official voting stickers! ❤️🤍💙

We held our annual Halloween/Beat Xinerva door decorating contest as part of the Clash of the Classes. We “X” off all of the “M”s and the cheerleaders decked our halls with signs!! We are ready for game time!!

During their trip, members will attend two general sessions, enjoy the Buckeye Bash Dance, experience the Rodeo, and tour Ozark Fisheries and Umberger Show Feeds.
But the most exciting part of the trip is Saturday, when the group will proudly watch Aspen Ujcich receive her American FFA Degree—one of the highest honors an FFA member can earn!
