Last week, our students proudly presented their projects on Indigenous groups across North America! Each presentation reflected thoughtful research, creativity, and a deep respect for the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. We're so proud of the effort and curiosity our students showed while learning about these important topics.

Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow - Monday, October 13 - at Carrollton Schools or at Buckeye Career Center as both districts have teacher inservice days. Enjoy the day off and we'll see you on Tuesday!

Earlier today, we sent out a message to alert parents about a situation that was happening in North Canton. Even though there was no threat in Carrollton, we felt it was important to notify you to keep you informed. Unfortunately, the text message was 'cropped' and you had to click on the link to read the entire message. The messages on the website, on the app and on Facebook were not 'cropped' and were complete. We apologize that the text message service doesn't allow long texts to be delivered in their entirety - without clicking on the link - and that this caused some to be stressed when there was no need.

FFA Fruit Sale!! Happening NOW!

We were informed about 15 minutes ago that there is an active shooting situation occuring in an apartment building in North Canton - near North Canton schools. North Canton schools are currently in a lockdown. There is no threat to Carrollton Schools at this time. If this changes, we will update you.

Friendly reminder: Basketball season is right around the corner! Coach Aukerman and the HS boys are looking for youth hoopers that want to get in the gym and get better! We will have youth evening skill days for grades K-3 in November, travel teams for grades 3-6, youth nights at our HS games and much more! We will keep you updated via email and social media. The first event is our Signing Day THIS SUNDAY OCT 12 - it is a chance for your kids to work with our HS players while we organize practice times and discuss details on the season. Just some Harry Potter fun in Mrs. Roebuck's 4th period classroom.

Students from Mrs. Davis and Mr. Borland's Ag classes traveled to Alliance on Tuesday to attend a field day sponsored by Heritage Cooperative. Students worked through 4 stations during the day and learned valuable information on corn and soybean fields, drone fertilizer applications, GMO’s, and equipment.

Mrs. Davis' AFNR students attended FFA Greenhand Camp last weekend. They participated with the Ohio FFA State Officer and other schools around the state in leadership activities and gained new friendships and knowledge in what FFA is all about!
